My life right now looks like a hot cup of milo on the balcony table overlooking the calm September morning sky. You know the colour; pink, blue, purple and white sky. On top of that, I've been gravitating towards flared long sleeves off shoulder tops, crop tops and denim shorts. I've just been feeling really inspired lately, so I did a September Lookbook video
I was feeling poorly today. It started last night, needless to say, I was stuck in bed feeling rotten. I peaked out of my bed and saw the afternoon sun shining down on my balcony (I have a little chilling area on my balcony - I enjoy my morning breakfast there, coupled with a cup of warm tea. It really sets my morning). So, I just couldn't help myself, I set up the props and took the pictures.
A couple of my favourite things to read so far:-
Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami - It is a 1987 novel written by a Japanese author, Haruki Murakami. I truly don't really know how to put this book into words, all I knew was that at the end of the book, it felt like a roller coaster ride that just ended and I was left feeling speechless. The story was so captivating and it is written in such a witty manner. There were laughter and there were tears and heartache all in one. I've never read anything like it.
Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro - It is a dystopian science fiction novel. It was also a love story, a love story that moved me to tears by the end of the book. I couldn't bring myself to put this book down. There's even a movie based on the book but it does not justify the book at all.
As I lay here in bed all snugged under my blanket, I stare up at the ceiling fan slowly turning, putting me to sleep. It's September already and it's been raining recently, but that's my favourite kind of weather. I light up my Midsummer's Night Yankee candle and tune into some of my favourite songs.
So here's my September playlist.
